Features of Meeting for Canadian microbrewers in Toronto - 2019

Comptoir Agricole and David Carriere and Associates have created a unique “microbrewers” event in Toronto (Canada).

Over two days, meetings took place with Canadian microbrewers in a Toronto loft given over entirely to getting to know the hops marketed under the HOP France brand.

Francis HEITZ and Antoine WUCHNER brought samples of the varieties grown in Alsace. Brewers who had already brewed beers with Alsatian hops brought their beers with them for their colleagues to taste.

No fewer than 120 people representing fifty or so microbreweries, some them representative, were able to try the 6 varieties of Alsatian hops and sample 14 different commercial beers, brewed using those same varieties.

Particularly enjoyed were the ELIXIR, MISTRAL and BARBE ROUGE varieties, which really got people talking.

The STRISSELSPALT, ARAMIS and TRISKEL varieties were broadly represented in the beers on offer and did not disappoint the convention’s attendees.

The brewers thanked us warmly for these meetings of a brand new kind.

Thank you to the many of you who made the effort to be there and to those who already work with Alsatian hops.
