Columbus

Bitterness in its pure state. A Super Alpha variety from America that was introduced to France at the end of the 1990s. Often referred to as CTZ (Columbus, Tomahawk, Zeus), for the 3 names which were all given to what is actually the same variety.

Technical features

Columbus is a half-sister of the Nugget variety. Its aroma is intense though pleasant, with notes of green fruits, citrus and esters. Some brewers dare to use this variety in late hopping
