HOP France participates in the BRASIL BRAU 2022

Antoine WUCHNER presented the HOP France varieties on the stand of LNF, Barth Haas distributor in Brazil, during the three days of the BRASIL BRAU which took place in SAO PAULO from May 30 to June 1, 2022.

A great attendance for a great reunion for all brewers after the last edition of 2019 and the ensuing COVID crisis.

Brazil now has around 2,000 micro-breweries for an estimated market share of 4%. This market is small but still growing. A target of 10% is even announced. A big IPA trend is emerging, but a development of Lagers cannot be ruled out, quite the contrary.

The opportunity was too good to launch the BRAZILIAN LAGER FRENCH HOP CHALLENGE and show that Alsatian hops were particularly suitable for this type of beer in full expansion.

Brewers wishing to participate had free access to ARAMIS and MISTRAL hops (predefined volume limit) to make an IBU 18-22 Lager. Cans will be sent to LNF for further entertainment between all participants.
