Features of Comptoir Agricole at Brau Brazil - São Paolo 2019

There were a number of objectives:

- To measure the dynamism of this market, which we have only been able to assess from too great a distance during our participations in various international trade fairs or during discussions with our current business partners;

- To meet with Brazilian brewers and ascertain their feelings about and interest in the so-called “noble” hop varietals, which most of them have never heard of;

- To set up a distribution network which would enable Comptoir Agricole to launch its varietals and the Hop France brand in this huge country currently riding the crest of a brewing wave (more than 1,000 microbreweries at the present time).

This trade fair is also marked by its high attendance and, like every place else, it is easy to measure the dynamism of this market and the interest the various players have in sharing their experience.

It goes without saying that the contacts made at our stand were many and that the interest shown by the microbrewers we met in our “out of the ordinary” hops were incredibly positive.

Being able to brew differently was an underlying theme heard many a time at our stand.

The flavor varietals (Triskel, Barbe Rouge, Mistral, Elixir) created a real buzz.

The standards (Strisselspalt, Aramis) were not to be outdone - some of the brewers we met had already had the opportunity to brew with them.

It’s a good bet that this country will be included in the strategic plan of the Hop France brand.

Thank you to all the brewers who came to talk with Comptoir Agricole during these three days.
