Features of 2018 edition of the Craft Brewers Conference

Francis HEITZ, Val PEACOCK and Antoine WUCHNER presented the Alsatian aromatic varieties and the “FLAVOR” range, including BARBE ROUGE and the new MISTRAL.

This year was the opportunity to talk about our HOP FRANCE brand overseas for the first time before an increasingly well-attended audience of microbreweries. In a market context which is becoming increasingly complex given the stocks of hops held by brewers, we managed to stand out from the rest by offering some UNIQUE beers.

A return to basics on using Alsatian hops was evident in the selection of beers on offer at our “beer station” to give our visitors the chance to sample beers in which our hops best express their full potential.

- A Pale Ale made with BARBE ROUGE brewed by the Urban Chestnut Brewery from St LOUIS, MO - USA.

- The ARAMIS STS Pils brewed by the Russian River Brewery from SANTA ROSA, CA - USA.

- A Pils made with MISTRAL brewed by the New Glarus Brewery from NEW GLARUS, WI - USA.

- A STRISSELSPALT Pils brewed by the Crux Brewery from BEND, OR - USA.

What a success !....... Surely in view of the quality of the beers, but also in the nascent trend in the American consumer to drink something other than strongly hopped IPA.

We met with new microbrewers who now know what it is they want to brew, and also what they don’t want to do to stand out from the competition.

See you next year in DENVER!
