Organic hops: ready to deliver

After 3 long years of development and research, the Comptoir Agricole is finally able to supply the first Organic hops grown in France.

6 varieties that are intended to meet the widest possible needs of our brewer clients are available as of now. The aromatic varieties include Strisselspalt, Triskel, Tradition, Premiant and Sladek, and Nugget has been developed for its bittering properties.

Freddy Merckling and his team at the Agricultural College of Obernai have done an exceptional job. The quality of the 2012 harvest is excellent. The hops are disease-free, have been picked and dried in the cleanest conditions, and have a beautiful green color.

The Comptoir Agricole is expanding its range by proposing dried hop cones in packages of 1 kg (2.2 lb) and 1.4 kg (3.1 lb), which have been packed under modified atmosphere to prevent hop oxidation. The Type 90 pellets are available as of December 2012 as these hop pellets are produced in strict conformity with Organic norms. The pellets will be available in 500g (1.1 lb), 1 kg (2.2 lb) and 5 kg (11 lb) packs, which have all been packed under modified atmosphere.
