Features of La vâche Folle | Aramis Hop

La Vache Folle Double India Pale Ale Aramis is the 9th beer of the series "Double IPA" at Microbrasserie Charlevoix experimenting the single hopping.

After having tried Bravo, Simcoe, Amarillo, Columbus, Herkules, Centennial, Yeoman et Northern Brewer, the choice has been made to use the new Alsatian cultivar Aramis!

Since 2006, our brewery uses the continuous hopping method in each of our Double IPA. The hops are added all along the boiling... in 12 additions, rather than the classical technique in 2 or 3 additions that we use for the other types of beers!

La Vache Folle 2IPA Aramis offers a smell of fresh hay and wet stone. The taste is a very rich bitterness mixed with gingerbread aromas and a long resinous finishing emphasized the noble Strisselspalt. Cheers !

Ingredients : pale ale malt, special malt, sugar, Aramis hop, saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. 9% alc./vol. Filtered, no second fermentation
