Features of Planting of a new hopgarden

In March 2016, a new hopgarden was planted in the town of Batzendorf (67), near Haguenau.

Rémy BURG and his son Jean Noel have decided to increase the size of their hop yard in order to plant new Alsatian hop varieties to meet market demand.

Setting up a hopgarden in just four hours constitutes a genuine feat performed by Rémy and Jean Noel BURG, with the help and support of a large number of farmers of the area.

This new hopgarden is a symbol of the renewal of activity of the Alsatian hops sector, leaving behind the last of the difficult years, due to securing by the marketing and sales department of large contracts for the coming years.
