Urban Chestnut Brewing Co - St Louis Mo celebrated the French hops with the Hopfenfest on Sat. April 5, 2014.

The festival took place for the first time at Urban Chestnuts’ new brewery located in the Grove, ST Louis Mo.

While Francis HEITZ presented the characteristics of the main Alsatian varieties (Strisselspalt, Aramis, Triskel and the new hop Barbe Rouge), almost 200 beer lovers could taste 2 beers made with Aramis and Triskel from Alsace, amongst other beers. Some pictures of lanscapes, food, agriculture, architecture from Alsace gave the attendees additional information about the smallest French region.

The late afternoon was dedicated to live music… a striking success
